Volodja Balžalorsky and Jaksa Zlatar To Perform AT SXSW Festival 2008

Cantabel Productions is pleased to present its first-ever showcase at one of American's largest music festivals South by Southwest (SXSW) featuring renowned Slovenian/Croatian artists: the violinist Volodja Balzalorsky and the pianist Jaksa Zlatar (March 14, St. Davids Church at 8pm). This showcase will feature two first performances in USA: Sonata for violin and piano No.1 (1974) by renowned Croatian contemporary composer Andelko Klobucar (1931) and Something wild for violin solo (1988) by renowned Slovenian contemporary composer Nenad First (1964).
The showcase program includes also famous works for violin and piano by Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms and Ernest Bloch.
